Following up on previous Eat Beat reports, the new permanent home of Courtney Sproule's Din Din Supper Club is set to launch on April 25 inside NE Portland's Bison Building (920 NE Glisan St). We've got new details for the upcoming brick-and-mortar eatery:

Service with style: Sproule's signature dinner parties will take place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening (7 pm on Thursdays and 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday). The space will also offer weekday lunch and espresso service in addition to brunch on Sundays (we'll have an exclusive first look at lunch and brunch menus on Eat Beat soon).

Debut dinner menu first-look: The kick-off event, a David Byrne-inspired fete dubbed True Stories, will feature Talking Heads tunes dished out alongside courses like snapper crudo with pink peppercorn and wild carrot, foie gras with celery and candied pear, and rack of lamb with beurre rouge and sunchoke soufflé  This special menu will be offered on opening night, April 25, as well as during follow-up dinners on April 27, May 2, 3, and 4.

Inside the space: According to Sproule, the 50-seat dining room has been designed by Erik Churchill's NYC-based ESC Works to be bright and inviting, with plenty of space for the settings to be re-imagined each week according to the night's themes:

"We already feel at home here," says Sproule, "and are quite anxious for to the chance to cook and host every day from a space that will allow us to make all the little considerations for our guests. The details of the space's design were enthusiastically considered, but in the end it’s those guests on that particular evening that make each din din its own. The space has a stunning simplicity that is just waiting for guests to complete it. I can’t wait to lay down 50 plates and look out at a room full of diners."

Get in on the fun: Reservations can be made for the inaugural dinner on April 25 (as well as for future dinners) by calling 971-544-1350 or emailing [email protected]. For a flavorful sneak peek of the upcoming Din Din space, tickets are still available for the Paley's Place anniversary dinner co-hosted by Sproule on April 23.
