Hood River's pFriem Family Brewers (hint: it's pronounced freem) invites all PDX beer lovers to head east this weekend for an all-ages brewery block party on the Columbia River Waterfront.

On Saturday, August 3 from 2 to 10 pm, the pFriem family will celebrate the first anniversary of their 15-barrel brewery with seasonal Belgian-inspired brews and nosh, kids activities, stunning views of the river, live music from The Greenneck Daredevils, Wild Ones, and Tony Smiley.

Outdoor dining options are set to include pulled pork sandwiches, organic hots dogs and brats, and veggie burgers, and the full menu of European fare will be available inside.

In addition to the beer bash, the pFriem family will kick off its second year of Hood River pub grub with new tasting room/brewpub hours: the eat-and-drinkery will now serve lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Bonified brew: pFriem's Strong Dark beer was named one of Oregon's 50 Best Beers in Portland Monthly's July issue for its "flavors akin to ripe figs, plums, dark chocolate, and toffee." Check out the full list here!
