Over the past few years, Portland has unleashed a fresh wave of sandwich thinking.
Call it a comfort reformation, a carnivorous lovefest, fresh vegetable worship, or simply a quest for handcrafted handheld perfection (down to fresh-from-the-hearth bread and homemade condiments).
This much is clear: Portland now stacks up as one of America’s great sandwich cities. In 2014, Portland Monthly will build the ultimate sandwich list, but we need your help.
Which winners are in your pantheon of great PDX sandwiches? Who has the best fried egg sandwich? Who offers the ultimate meatball hero? Where can we find gluten free bread that stands up to its glutenful relations? Do you have a secret haunt for a PB&J, a bahn mi, or the great grilled cheese?
Please, tell all in the comment section below—and watch for Portland Monthly’s March issue. It's going to be good.
