Portland may have some exceptional alternative ice cream, but we’d never turn down a free scoop—especially for a meaningful cause. In support of mandatory GMO food labeling and Oregon’s pending Measure 92, co-founder Jerry Greenfield is flying out to help raise awareness for the 2014 election. He’ll be holding a special press conference at the Hawthorne Ben & Jerry’s location, announcing a new, honorary Measure 92 ice cream flavor, and offering up free ice cream to attendees.

When: Thursday, October 9 at 2:30 pm (free ice cream cones from 3-4pm)
Where: The Hawthorne Ben & Jerry’s at 1428 SE 36th Ave
