In wine country, May (aka Oregon Wine Month), is the time to be a vino-lover. You can find sweet deals, tastings, and events all over the state for the whole month, but on Memorial Day weekend (May 28–30), more than 150 Willamette Valley wineries open their doors, roll out the welcome mats, and tap into fresh vintages.

For aficionados (including Pinot noir and Pinot gris fanatics), this is a great excuse to nerd out: visitors can try new vintages from their favorite wineries and even sample from the barrels alongside the winemakers. That includes some of the region’s smallest producers, many not normally open to the public.

Everyone else can enjoy the live music, food pairings, and awesome views from the peaks and valleys of verdant wine country.

Visit the Willamette Valley Wine Association’s website for more information, including a list of all the participating wineries involved and their individual schedules for the weekend.
