Getcher beer here (and maybe also a book or three.)

The trend of Powell’s unusual marketing efforts continues, and this time, it’s a little more accessible than a book scented cologne.
On Monday, Powell’s Books and Ex Novo Brewing announced that they’re teaming up on a limited-edition beer. Ten percent of all proceeds from the City of Books IPA will go to the Book Industry Charitable Fund, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to independent bookstores, booksellers, and bookstore employees.
The West Coast style IPA will be available for one day and one day only on October 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Powell’s flagship downtown location on W. Burnside and 10th Avenue, as well as at Ex Novo’s North Portland and Beaverton locations.
A four-pack of 16-oz cans is $15.99, and purchases are limited to two packs per person—in other words, the early bookworms will get the beer.
