Pharmaca Set to Open Beaverton Location with Free Spa Treatments

Feb 7 & 8—Free mini-facials, expert health and beauty advice, and more await locals at the Beaverton Grand Opening.

If you've ever stood baffled in the supplement aisle or spent an eternity picking through a grocery store for natural beauty products, you've probably noticed that most stores aren't exactly "integrative." People who care about natural health and beauty products often have to go to many different stores and struggle through many different dilemmas—aloe juice from the whole leaf or inner fillet? Omega-3 or Omega-6?—in order to get what they need, and can't always count on the knowledge of the supermarket staff for health quesitons.

Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, which opens its third Portland metro location in Beaverton on February 7, is out to change that. Staffed by a crowd of professionals—licensed pharmacists, naturopathic doctors, homeopaths, herbalists, nutritionists, and estheticians—Pharmaca's team-based locations attempt to address health, wellness, and beauty issues together.

A large part of effective healthcare is meeting people where they are. Sure, it might be ideal to quit eating Little Big Burger or stop using beauty products all together, but most people don’t want to do that. What many folks do want is help navigating the realities they face—on their own terms and with their own values and capabilities front-and-center in the discussion. Pharmaca's Boulder, Colorado roots give them a list of stated values, like eco-friendliness and chemical-consciousness, that many Portlanders can work with.

The February 7 and 8 grand opening of Pharmaca's Beaverton in Timberland Town Center will feature indulgent free spa services, and five percent of Saturday’s sales will be donated to the local non-profit organization Sunshine Pantry.
