Dollar for Portland Telethon for Leah Merklin

What: In partnership with Dollar for Portland, a local nonprofit that raises money for families experiencing medical debt by asking people to donate just one dollar a month, the Warrior Room kettlebell gym and surrounding community will come together to call their personal contacts to ask people to donate just $1 to go to the family of Leah Merklin, a local 5 year old girl diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. This is a family friendly event with awesome family friendly prizes offered for the person/family with the most donations. Free coffee, snacks, and childcare will be available.
When: September 24 at 5:30 pm

Organic Girl's Luttuce Undress Your Salad Tour and Event at Enso Winery

What: Organic Girl greens is celebrating the launch of new salad mixes—sweet pea and peppergreens—and salad dressings with a local tour of "naked" salad samples and a fun event featuring local women chefs (Amy Cirillo of Angel Face, Melissa Mayer & Maylin Chavez of Olympia Oyster Bar, and Franziska San Pedro of Donerland), will create a series of delicious dishes with the greens. The event—which will be at Enso Urban Winery on September 30 from 406 pm—is an exclusive, invite-only event, but 5 local Portlanders and their +1 will have a chance to win a seat at the table—enter here by Friday, September 25!

Body Braid Yoga Weekend with Diane Bruni

What: The Body Braid is a revolutionary way to find resilience, resistance, and muscle energy as you reinvigorate your yoga practice. Open to all students and teachers of all levels, this weekend of workshops offers an opportunity to wear and practice in the Body Braid and in the Body Braid Loops with a skilled teacher and one of the co-creators of this amazing tool. On the cutting edge of modern movement study, human bio-mechanics, and the healthy spine and joints movement, the Body Braid and the Body Braid Loops can and will change the way you sit, stand, practice, and do just about everything.

Yoga Adjustment Workshop with Kris Olson at Yoga Bhoga

What: Receive gentle and grounding hands-on-assists in standing postures, forward folds, in a nurturing savasana in this workshop that is built like a class but with longer holds of the poses. Rediscover familiar postures and increase awareness through receiving adjustment. You may feel the expression and sensations of the posture differently and refine your everyday practice.
Where: Yoga Bhoga, 1028 SE Water Ave
When: Saturday, Oct 3, from 2:30-4:30 pm 
How much: $25. Space is limited to 12 people to guarantee attention to each student. Therefore pre-registration is highly recommended.
