Uber to Deliver Health Kits and Flu Shots to Portlanders

October 29, 2015 will forever be known as Black Thursday around the Portland Monthly office.
On that dark day UberKITTENS promised—and ultimately failed—to deliver said kittens to our office. And not for lack of effort on our part. Editors and art directors cleared their schedules. Speculation on the number, age, and condition of the kittens took over meetings. Interns were pulled from time-sensitive projects for "kitten watch." But in the end, demand was too high and the wailing and gnashing of teeth (particularly from the art department) echoed through the kitten-less Pittock Building.
This Thursday, November 19, Uber will launch a similar promotion with UberHEALTH in 37 cities including Portland. If you request an Uber between 11am and 3pm on that day, a driver will deliver $10 wellness packs and free flu shots for up to 10 people to your office provided by Passport Health.
Sounds great. Let's just hope it's not a repeat of the Great Kitten Fiasco of 2015.
