Stupor Bowl (n)

The mishap that befalls people who have not watched a single football game all year, forget how long such events are, and thus drink themselves into a daze long before the halftime show.

In a sentence: “I invited a bunch of my artsy friends over to watch the big game. After pre-kickoff cocktails and the first beer run, it devolved into a Stupor Bowl before I even got done explaining the pass-interference rule.”
