As Portland Fashion Week draws nearer and nearer to us, I thought it was a good idea to see how fashion shows have evolved over the years. Today, professional shows consist of blaring music, bright lights and the requisite celebrity in the front row wearing an oversized pair of sunglasses—indoors. Incidentally, since Portland is low on celebrities I volunteer to play that role if anyone is asking.
