Don’t get us wrong: we’ll always have a soft spot for black. But the past 18 months have been dark enough without us wholly draping ourselves in the Grim One’s favorite color. So this season, runways are embracing an attitude adjustment with a more optimistic hue, camel. A neutral color with an air of luxury, camel is as flexible as its bleaker cousin, whether sitting comfortably at your ankles in buttery leather boots or wrapping you in its warmth with a caressable cashmere cardigan. Added bonus: this version doesn’t spit.
