Win Tickets to See John Oliver

Host of HBO's Last Week Tonight, John Oliver
Coming straight from The Daily Show camp of comedians-turned-political satirists, John Oliver has become many millennials preferred source for social and political commentary. Last Week Tonight, Oliver's 7-month-old HBO show, has garnered millions of Youtube views for biting 10 to 20 minute monologues that discuss à la carte issues from police brutality to the sugar industry, drones to the Miss America Pageant.
But before being John Stewart's Senior British Correspondent, before winning an Emmy for outstanding writing on The Daily Show, and before guest spots on NBC's Community and The Simpsons, Oliver was a stand-up comedian. He has bantered on stages across the UK and, since 2010, hosted John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, a Comedy Central showcase of up-and-coming comics that in its four seasons has featured Hannibal Buress, Pete Holmes, Hari Kondabolu, and Amy Schumer.
Oregon certainly hasn't avoided Oliver's barbs. He poked fun at an advertisement for the botched Cover Oregon campaign featuring Portland singer-songwriter Laura Gibson singing "Live Long in Oregon." (The agency behind the ad, North, didn't think it was very funny.)
Oliver's rendition, sung by Lisa Loeb, is titled "Cover Oregon" and goes like this:

Nov 22 at 8 & 10:30 pmLike artists in Portland, your site doesn’t work
That 404 error is not just a quirk
You blew all our money on these stupid sets
So when you break your leg, try the neighborhood vet
You stupid Oregon idiots
You human Pinterest boards
Your passion for cuteness might kill your whole state
So long, Oregon
Bitterly funny medicine, John. We still plan to pelt you with organic heirloom tomatoes.
