SE Belmont: David Anderson has left Genoa after serving as Executive Chef of the lauded Italian restaurant since 2009. In his place, former Fenouil chef Jake Martin (who recently returned from a chef stint in Seattle) will oversee the kitchens at Genoa and neighboring cafe Accanto. Says GM Michael Garofola: "David did a great job re-launching Genoa and building Accanto into a great neighborhood spot, and we will miss him. However, this decision has been in the works for a while, and in fact we brought Jake down here with an eye towards this transition. We are really excited to have Jake in the kitchen, and I will be taking over the role of GM for both restaurants. This has been a very well-planned and smooth transition." Stay tuned for more details on the chef swap and future plans for the restaurant's menu. 2832 SE Belmont St

SE Powell: Lesa Wolman's space formerly known as Vino Vixens has rebranded and is now operating under the name Shaker and Vine. Modernist-leading chef Ronnie Vance (formerly of Burnside Brewing Co.) and barman Lucas Plant will offer food and cocktail menus to reach beyond the spot's wine bar reputation. On the edible side of things, the "affordable" menu will be split into "safe" and "adventurous" categories, offering classic cafe food alongside modernist creations. 2929 SE Powell
SE Stark: Meat Cheese Bread's John Stewart has debuted 750-square-foot Beer, the bottle shop and beer den located next door to his sandwich shop. Beer offers 8-10 local taps from breweries like Double Mountain, The Commons, Cascade, and Ninkasi, stocks over 100 small-batch bottles to buy or take away, and pours growlers for insatiable beer lovers. Customers are welcome to buy food next door and bring it over. 1410 Southeast Stark St.
SE Division: Duane Sorenson's upcoming pizza restaurant (set to occupy the former Stumptown roastery next door to Sorenson's just-opened Ava Gene's) will go by the name Roman Candle. 3377 SE Division St.
