Voodoo Doughnut’s 10 Year Anniversary Party

What: The makers of Portland’s beloved bacon maple bar are turning ten. To celebrate, Voodoo Doughnuts is hosting live music, performance acts, and “special guests” at both Portland locations.
When: Saturday, June 1 from 2 to 4 pm.
Where: Both Portland Voodoo Doughnut locations, 22 SW 3rd Ave and 1501 NE Davis St
How Much: Free!

Sushi Making Class with Flying Fish Co. and Bamboo Sushi

What: Learn the secrets of sushi from Bamboo Sushi Chef Kevin Trinh. ‘Wok and roll’ your way through this 2-hour hands-on class using fresh fish and ingredients from Flying Fish Co.  
When: Sunday, June 2 from 6 to 8pm.
Where: Jam on Hawthorne, 2239 SE Hawthorne Blvd 
How Much: $60 per person includes class materials (fish and ingredients) plus a drink. Reservations can be made by calling Flying Fish Co. 971-258-5212 or by e-mailing [email protected].

ChickPeaDX Pop Up at Boke Bowl

What: Portland’s upcoming food cart will offer diners a sneak peek of their falafel-focused menu for the second installment of ChickPeaDX pop up dinners. Diners can choose from three different falafel variations – pita, salad, and sandwich - and a selection of house made sodas.
When: Monday, June 3 at 6 pm.
Where: Boke Bowl, 1028 SE Water Ave
How Much: Prices vary; ChickPeaDX falafels range from $6 to $8.50 with house made sodas available for $3. 

Grassa Preview Dinner with Portland Food Adventures

What: Preview and prepare pasta from Lardo Chef Rick Gencarelli’s upcoming spot Grassa. Attendees will get a hands-on pasta-making lesson from Gencarelli himself then enjoy a multiple-course meal family-style.
When: Wednesday, June 5 at 6:00 pm.
Where: Grassa, 1212 SW Washington St
How Much: $75 per person (includes multiple-course meal, beverages, and fresh pasta and sauce to take home). Tickets available via Brown Paper Tickets. 

2-for-1 Night at Scott Paul PDX

What: Wine enthusiasts won’t want to miss this special flight night featuring Burgundies and grower Champagnes from small family producers in France. Four wines. Two friends. Ten dollars. Wine not?
When: Friday, June 7 from 5 to 8 pm.
Where: Scott Paul PDX, 2537 NW Upshur St
How Much: $10 tasting fee per person, which is refundable with the purchase of any three bottles.

Beer Dinner at Portland Penny Diner

What: Penny Diner hosts its first beer-focused fiesta. Enjoy seven different small bites like sorghum tamales with moxie braised goat and oxtail and curried squash fritters with green goddess dip paired with beers from Hopworks and Laurelwood including a special event-only collaboration beer.
When: Friday, June 7 at 5:30 pm. 
Where: Portland Penny Diner, 410 SW Broadway
How Much: Tickets are $55 per person including gratuity. Reservations can be made by emailing [email protected].

Jacobsen Salt Co. Dinner Series Kickoff with Clyde Common & Breakside Brewery

What: Join Clyde Common Executive Chef Chris DiMinno and Breakside Brewing at Jacobsen Salt Co.’s inaugural dinner series event at their new production facility in Tillamook. Menu details are still under wraps but expect delicious food and brews with complimentary bay views.  
When: Saturday, June 8 at 5:30 pm.
Where: Jacobsen Salt Co., 9810 Whiskey Creek Rd Tillamook, OR 
How Much: $100 per person includes four courses and beer pairings from Breakside Brewing. Tickets available via Eventbrite.

Portland Beer and Cheese Fest

What: Portland Beer Week brings back its annual Beer and Cheese Fest hosted by The Commons Brewery. Celebrate ales, alts and asiago with cheese pairings from Cheese Monger Steve Jones and brews from Double Mountain, Block 15, Solera et al.
When: Sunday June 16 from 1 to 5 pm.
Where: The Commons Brewery, 1810 SE 10th Ave 
How Much: Tickets are $32 and include a tasting glass, 10 craft beer and cheese pairings, and snacks from CHOP Butchery. Tickets must be purchased in advance via Stranger Tickets.
