Kenny & Zuke's Family Tapas Dinner

What: Kenny & Zuke's Family Dinner Series returns with its popular tapas-inspired event. Traditional Spanish bites like garlic prawns with sherry and patatas bravas will be served family style alongside pomegranate Sangria.
When: Wednesday, June 26 at 6 pm.
Where: Kenny & Zuke's Delicatessen, 1038 SW Stark St.
How Much: $42.50 per person including Sangria ($34.50 without alcohol) and $21.75 for kiddos under 12. Reservations can be made by calling the Deli 503-222-3354.

Pastry and Coffee Pairing at St. Jack Pâtisserie

What: Portland pastry queen Alissa Rozos will pair her confections with Roseline coffees. Roseline Coffee founder Marty Lopes will be on hand brewing three different beans – Konga (Ethiopia), Pacamara (Columbian), and Los Naranjos (Columbian) – to complement Rozos’ selection of sweet treats.
When: Saturday, June 29 at 11 am.
Where: St. Jack Pâtisserie, 2039 SE Clinton St.
How Much: $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased at St. Jack.

Sushi for a Cure at Uptown Billiards

What: Uptown Billiards owner Kent Lewis teams up with Lake Oswego’s Relay for Life for a fish-filled fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society. Dinner includes all-you-can-eat sushi crafted by Hawaiian Chef Ramon as well as traditionally prepared Japanese steak, chicken, and a tempura bar.
When: Sunday, June 30 from 6 to 9 pm.
Where: Uptown Billiards, 120 NW 23rd Ave.
How Much: $150 per person. Reservations can be made online via eRegister Express.

Fourth of July Fireworks Dinner at Quartet

What: Portland’s newest riverfront restaurant is hosting a Fourth of July celebration complete with four-course dinner, live music, and a front seat view of the fireworks. The menu is ripe with patriotic puns: Firecracker Ahi Tataki and Red, White & Blue dessert with blueberry, vanilla mousse, and strawberry gastrique.
When: Thursday, July 4 at 7 pm.
Where: Quartet, 1910 SW River Dr.
How Much: $150 per person includes wine pairings. For reservations, call Quartet 503-222-7300.

Celebration of Wine at Skamania Lodge

What: The Gorge getaway spot brings together 12 local wineries as part of its 4th of July weekend celebration. Guests will enjoy sips from the likes of L'Ecole, Gordon Estate, ArborBrook, and Maryhill alongside hors d’oeuvres pairings from Skamania Lodge Executive Chef James Wallace.
When: Saturday, July 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Where: Skamania Lodge, 1131 SW Skamania Lodge Way, Stevenson, WA
How Much: $50 per person or $90 per couple. Tickets can be purchased by calling Skamania Lodge 800-221-7117.

Tabor Tavern One-Year Anniversary Celebration

What: The popular Burnside pub turns one and seeks to show their thanks with all-day happy hour pricing on drinks and $1 house-smoked whole hog sliders. Don’t miss drawings for gift cards, merchandise, or a private dinner for two prepared by chef Chris Greer.
When: Saturday, July 13 from 11:30 am to close.
Where: Tabor Tavern, 5325 E. Burnside St.
How Much: All-day happy hour pricing on beer, wine and cocktails and food specials. 

Pix Pâtisserie’s 2013 Bastille Day Bash

What: Pix’s annual Bastille Day Bash offers all of Portland’s favorite pastimes rolled into one: hula hooping, bicycle scavenger hunt, cupcake stomp, even a wine drinking 5K. Fear not, there will plenty of fuel for the fun including a whole roasted pig from Carlton Farms and a Champagne & oyster bar.
When: Saturday, July 13 from 2 to 11 pm.
Where: Bar Vivant, 2225 E. Burnside St.
How Much: Free admission with the donation of two or more non-perishable food items. Food and beverage specials available for purchase.
