Brew Up Your Brunch at Raven & Rose

What: Buffer your belly before the Oregon Brewers Festival this Saturday with a three-course brunch at Raven & Rose. Chef David Padberg is pairing up with Eugene’s Oakshire Brewing to bring Portland’s two favorite pastimes – beer and brunch – together with beer-centric bites including fresh donut muffins, mussels and frites, and a full Irish breakfast plate.
When: Saturday, July 27 at 11 am.
Where: Raven & Rose, 1331 SW Broadway

Peruvian Independence Day Party at Las Primas

What: ¡Celebrate Peruvian Independence Day with a party at Las Primas! Enjoy raffles, games, and (of course) pisco. Eat and drink national favorites like Pisco Sours and ají de gallina sandwiches, then spruce up your salsa with Latin music from DJ Massacooramaan.
When: Saturday, July 27 from 6 to 9 pm.
Where: Las Primas, 3971 N Williams Ave.

Songbird Café Anniversary Street Party

What: Brunch hotspot Songbird Café and neighbors Mandala Yoga pair up to host a street party in honor of their 1-year anniversaries. The outdoor event will be filled with family-friendly fun like art activities, Mandala Yoga demonstrations, music, local artists, a silent auction and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit Friends of Mt. Tabor Park, a non-profit organization that works to restore and maintain the park’s natural habitats.
When: Sunday, July 28 from noon to 7 pm.

Dry Fly Distilling Rogue Cocktail Competition at Riffle NW 

What: Riffle NW’s ongoing cocktail competition series continues with our Northern distillery neighbors, Dry Fly Distilling. Ten competitors will be challenged with creating an original cocktail utilizing one spirit from the recently released Dry Fly Creel Collection. Spectators get to cheer for their favorite bartender while enjoying Dry Fly cocktail specials and free snacks.
When: Sunday, July 28 from 1 to 4 pm.
Where: Riffle NW, 333 NW 13th Ave.
How Much: Free entry and snacks. Drink specials available for purchase.

Last Sunday Crawfish Boil at Interurban with Double Mountain

What: Spokane-based Dry Fly Distilling spreads its love to two Portland events in one-day, with a post-cocktail competition crawfish boil at Interurban where Chef Drew Sprouse will prepare a classic Louisiana style boil. Dry Fly cocktail specials will be available plus 5 special release beers from Double Mountain including their Lulu Saison, Triple Red Pilsner, and more.
When: Sunday, July 28 from 3 to 10 pm.
Where: Interurban, 4057 N Mississippi St.

Al Fresco Schwenker Dinner at Olympic Provisions Northwest

What: Celebrate summer with grilling and German-inspired wines at this four-courses dinner from Teutonic Wine Co. and Olympic Provisions Northwest. Enjoy OP meats including Bratwurst, Kielbasa, and Kasekrainers like you’ve never had them before: roasted over the swinging schwenker grill alongside roasted vegetables, charcuterie and paired with both Oregon and German Rieslings.
When: Sunday, July 28 at 6 pm.
Where: Olympic Provisions Northwest, 1632 NW Thurman St.

Firehouse Centennial & Summer Social

What: Firehouse Restaurant is throwing the birthday party of the century (literally) to celebrate their historic home’s 100th birthday and the restaurant’s 5-year anniversary. Expect an exciting block party in the heart of the Dekum triangle with pony rides, dancing, dunk tank, all-day live music, cotton candy, a petting zoo, Yelp giant jenga, sack races, tee shirt printing, and a chili cook-off featuring local chefs from Grain & Gristle, Old Salt Marketplace, Aviary, Fireside Restaurant, Breakside Brewing, and DOC. Proceeds benefit The Pixie Project and Sauvie Island Center.
When: Sunday, August 4 at 2 pm.
Where: Firehouse, 711 NE Dekum St.
How Much: Small donations ($1 – $10) for food, beverage and activities.
