Peruvian Independence Day at Andina

What: In celebration of Peruvian Independence Day, Andina will be cooking up a special three course menu with fresh cebiche, purple potato cake with chicken and aji Amarillo, and quinoa “risotto” with golden beets, mushrooms, and truffle oil. After dinner, pull up a seat to Borikaus, a Latin band.

Nicky USA at Lardo

What: Nicky Farms USA, the revered Oregon game distributor, will team up with the sandwich honchos at Lardo for a Mexican-inspired pop-up dinner to benefit the Portland Kitchen, a free culinary program for urban youth in Portland high schools.
When: July 22, 5-10 pm

Free Hot Dogs at Hop Dog

What: The upcoming downtown hot dog shop from Little Big Burger owner Micah Camden is handing out free hot dogs in celebration of National Hot Dog Day.
When: July 23, 3-7 pm

Peruvian Independence Day at Las Primas

What: Andina isn’t the only game in town. The street food slingersat Las Primas are serving up $7 Peruvian-style burgers with fries, rum-spiked coke, and $2 Peruvian beers to the tunes of Peruvian dancer and artist Luciana Proaño.
When: July 25, 6-9 pm

Chef in My Garden
What:
Sample Italian-inspired seasonal dishes made with fresh local ingredients from Lucca’s Lissa Kane in the spacious Sauvie Island gardens of Linda Wisner and Chet Orloff. All proceeds go to Chef in My Garden, which helps people learn to grow their own food.
