Restaurants for Raphael House
What: More than 40 Portland restaurants rally behind Raphael House and their efforts to help treat survivors of domestic violence. If you needed another reason to check out one of the participating restaurants (Country Cat to Pip’s Original), the promise to donate 15 percent of all proceeds is about as good as it gets.

Indian Brunch at Thali Supper Club
What: Thali is best known for serving monthly Indian feasts, marked by accomplished cooking, generosity, and warm vibes. Now owners Leena and Joe Ezekiel have jumped into the brunch conversation, impressively. Diners gather around beautifully set communal tables and eat on silver trays lined with banana leaves. The four-course meal includes Indian–style coffee, wonderful lassi, and the terrific house masala chai.

Ice Cream Seuss-Off at Morgan St. Theater
Ice cream-obsessed party animal and master thespian Jared Goodman and emcee Byron Beck bring together six Portlanders for a Dr. Seuss-themed celebration, with sundae interpretations of The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs & Ham. Proceeds benefit three local nonprofit organizations: Self Enhancement, Inc., Outside In, and the Dougy Center.

Cookies and Cream Collaboration at 180
What: May’s flavor of the month at authentic fried dough shop 180 is a play on cookies and cream. Ataula sous chef Chad Norman brings his childhood memories to Spain’s classic doughnut with white chocolate and Oreo sprinkle xurros all month. Proceeds go to the Portland Kitchen.
