Fundraiser for Prairie Creek Farm
What: The gnocchi worshipers at Nostrana honor Prairie Creek Farm with a major fundraiser (read more about the beleaguered potato growers). The Southeast Italian stalwart, headed by owner and longtime Prairie Creek champion Cathy Whims, will donate $1 for each gnocchi dish sold at their Gnocchi Thursday dinners, and match with a $1 donation from Nostrana.

Cuisines of Asia at Lan Su Chinese Garden
What: Take a month-long culinary tour of Asia close to home. History lessons and cooking demonstrations abound, from the history and art of dumplings and Lanzhou-style noodle pulling to Chinese tea ceremonies and talks with the Queen of Carts, Nong Poonsukwattana.
When: Every Thursday and Saturday in June, 2:30–6 p.m.

JolieLaide Collaboration Dinners
What: Vince Nguyen (an alum of San Francisco’s celebrated Coi and Portland’s Castagna) brings in some major talent for a three-dinner series at his new perch at Southeast Division’s Roe. On June 6, he’ll team up with Andrew Mace and Nora Antene, recently departed Le Pigeon stars. On June 7, he’ll host Nick Muncy, pastry chef at the two Michelin-starred Coi. And on June 27, the big kahuna: former Noma sous chef and former chef de cuisine at Nashville’s nationally-lauded Cat Bird Seat. Don’t miss this one, folks.

Baja Wines Dinner at Xico
What: Xico’s Kelly Myers hosts Tamale Boy’s Abel Hernandez for a special Mexican wine-pairing dinner. The Baja-based vintages are allegedly the first to enter Oregon state lines, and will accompany a 5-course meal starring dishes like Dungeness crab-filled masa sope and rabbit cooked with plums and red chiles baked under masa.

Apericena: A Springtime Sicilian Cocktail Party
What: Meadowlark Supperclub celebrates two years of wining and dining with an homage to the flavors of Sicily. Partake in this eight-course feast, with thick-crust Sicilian pizza, regional strawberry-tarragon ice cream “sandwiches,” set between brioche buns, and house made limoncello.

Seafood Sundays at Teutonic Wine Company
What: The newly opened urban winery brings in local winemakers, chefs, and cookbook authors for a seafood cookout on their front patio. Next up in June: steamed mussels with with local author Andrea Slonecker and Division Wine founder, Thomas Monroe. Later this month, get psyched for a mid-Atlantic crab boil and something called "chicken fried razor clams" from Teutonic’s Alex Neely.
