Where to Pick Up Thanksgiving Desserts in Portland

Because sometimes rolling your own pie crust is too tall an order.

Which part of Thanksgiving do you look forward to more: the turkey or the pie? If you’re in the latter camp, look no further for suggestions of where to pick up locally made pies, plus cookies, cheesecakes, and ice cream.

This bakery which specializes in pies is an obvious go-to for Thanksgiving. Go for classic pumpkin pie, bourbon pecan pie, apple pie made with Kiyokawa heirloom fruit, or less conventional choices like blackberry raspberry streusel, chocolate cream pie, or key lime. This Italian restaurant-marketplace hybrid might be best known for its fresh pasta dishes, but it's quickly gaining a reputation for its olive oil cake, layered with lemon buttercream and dotted with Amarena cherries. Or take home a large tiramisu, a pumpkin mascarpone pie, cranberry curd tart, or salted caramel pecan pie, all with an optional side of housemade vanilla gelato. This bistro that’s famous for its fancy desserts is serving whole cranberry walnut tarts, English toffee cheesecakes, and maple gingerbread cake. They’ve also got miniature desserts perfect for smaller celebrations, including a cranberry walnut tart, lemon curd tart, and panna cotta and chocolate hazelnut shooters.
