Fancy Plants Finnriver Cider Dinner at The Kitchen at Middleground Farms
What: A delicious four-course, plant-based, gluten-free meal made and paired with Finnriver ciders. The event will be hosted by natural foods chef Lauren Chandler of Lauren Chandler Cooks on the picturesque hobby farm just south of Portland, and will feature dishes like Forest Ginger cider and parsnip soup, radicchio, pear, and caviar lentil salad with Sparkling Pear Cider dressing, and lemon pudding cake with Black Currant cider compote.

What: Help bring cooking into classrooms and give high school students a little taste of a culinary career at a fundraiser meal for The Curriculum of Cuisine prepared by some of Portland’s premier chefs. Hosted by the The Oregon Culinary Institute and Portland Culinary Alliance, this brunch served family style features names like Alissa Frice of Frice Pastry, Bent Brick’s Scott Dolich, and Anh Luu from Tapalaya. Unforgettable Secrets & Savvy Cures, a Chinese New Year Celebration
What: Feng Shui expert Bette Steflik’s third annual evening of Feng Shui secrets, chocolate, and savvy cures. She’ll explain how you can make the best of the Wood Ram year with a rainbow of power enhancements to ease out of stress, relax into happiness, live soulfully, and rejuvenate your energy with meditation. Poplar Buds and Red Cedar: An Arctos School Hike
What: You may think since it is winter you can't spend time with the plants. On this short hike, Gradey Proctor of the Arctos School will dismiss that myth as the group learns to identify trees and shrubs by their twigs. Tag along and discuss botany, medicinal uses, and winter wildcrafting—and come dressed for the weather!

T’ai Chi Chuan at the Wellspring School
What: Explore the Taoist form of exercise and active meditation with Michael Guida BPS, LMT in these bi-weekly classes for all levels. Learn how to increase strength and stamina, correct physical posture and alignment, and discover exercises in breathing, sensitivity, concentration, and meditation.
