This local company makes sweet and savory hand pies and full-sized pies worth drooling over, in flavors like brown butter pecan, hazelnut and apricot, lemon curd and raspberry, black bean and pepper jack, and curried lentil and veggie. Feel like making your own pie but haven't mastered the magic of the gluten-free pie crust? Queen of Hearts offers ready-to-bake, flaky, all-butter pie crusts—I used a few last Thanksgiving for apple pies and they were a huge hit. I'm currently nursing a crush on the savory cashew tarts, which are part quiche, park savory cheesecake. Another gluten-free and vegan shop, Petunia's stocks nostalgia sweets like Bumble Berry Peach pie, raw strawberry pie, salted caramel apple pecan pie, marionberry apple, banana coconut cream, chocolate caramel hazelnut cream—and an incredible chunky vegetable pot pie that's developed a cult following at their West End bakery at 610 SW 12th Ave.
Tula Gluten-Free Cafe
While they don't have full-sized pies, this NE Alberta bakery offers savory hand pies and a variety of mini vegan and gluten-free tarts, like lemon curd with almond flaxseed crust, dark chocolate pomegranate, cranberry raspberry linzer tart, and cane sugar-free roasted apple with cornmeal almond crust. Divine Pie
These creamy raw, gluten-free, and dairy-free pies are made with whole ingredients cradled in a crust of nuts, dates, and coconut flakes. The farmers market favorites come in flavors like passionfruit cheesecake, chocolate hazelnut cream pie, key lime, rosewater cardamom, chocolate chai, lemon berry custard, and Oregon berry cheesecake. Though the three-time-Cupcake Wars-winning owner of this 100% gluten-free Lake Oswego bakery may be best known for her gluten-free cupcakes, the sweet shop also stocks plenty of tarts and pies, from banana cream and key lime to chocolate cream and strawberry happiness.
