Perfect Portland Party: Fall 2023

Brett Brown & Tiffany Pennywell
We’ll set the table with metal goblets for one of the few Love Is Blind couples to stay together (as of press time, at least). Brett, you lured Tiffany here from Seattle—how are you both doing with all the togetherness?

Brian Cox
His Succession character wouldn’t be caught dead in Portland, but the actor came this year to film Little Wing, a coming-of-age tale based on a New Yorker article by Susan Orlean. Brian, meals on Succession were psychological power plays, so the menu is your pick.

Patte Sullivan
Apple pie for this former teacher, who won a Portland school board election with minimal fundraising or campaigning after it was revealed her opponent allegedly had ties to Christian nationalist groups. Patte, we’ll toast to campaigns as chill as yours.

RZA
Vegan whipped C.R.E.A.M. for this hip-hop artist, music producer, actor, writer, director, and film composer, coming to town in October with the Wu-Tang Clan for a show with Nas at the Moda Center. RZA, no need to bring anything but da ruckus.

Morgan Stickney
Shaved ice in honor of this 15-year-old goalie drafted by the Winterhawks, only the second female ever selected for a team in the Western Hockey League. Morgan, we bet you’ve rocked every sport you’ve tried, but with a name like Stickney hockey was just your destiny, eh?
