Nurture your child's whole heart, spirit, and mind at Cedarwood Waldorf School.

Presented by Cedarwood Waldorf School August 26, 2022

Cedarwood isn’t just a school, it’s a place for the whole family to learn and grow and connect with the community. Cedarwood is centrally located just minutes from downtown in SW Portland by Lair Hill Park with easy access to OHSU, PSU, and I-405. Cedarwood Waldorf School’s curriculum weaves together the arts, academics, and movement to bring learning to life. At Cedarwood, students are met with openness to possibility, given time to develop resiliency, and taught skills to turn challenges into opportunities.

The students at Cedarwood Waldorf School experience education through imagination, self-actualization, world culture, the arts, and exploring the natural world. You will not find Cedarwood students hunched over a computer or merely memorizing materials for a test. Instead, our students learn to apply knowledge in traditional and groundbreaking ways.

Students attend field trips, spend hours each week in nature, and when the time comes, learn about technology and its application as they prepare to transition from childhood to adolescence and onto high school.

At Cedarwood, students are seen as unique individuals with infinite skills and possibilities rather than just a grade on a test. The curriculum is comprehensive and designed to educate the whole child, with lessons in math, science, language arts, history, geography, music, eurythmy, handiwork, movement, Japanese, and Spanish. Waldorf students go on to excel in high school and college, often outscoring their public-school peers.
