Fashion's Night Out Guide

Thursday, September 6 is national Fashion's Night Out with nearly every store downtown offering up something ala fashion shows, new fall collections and party time.

By Eden Dawn August 28, 2012

For the fourth year, we join the cool kids club as one of the Vogue approved cities participating in Fashion’s Night Out. Back in 2008, when the country wallowed in the deepest depths of the recession, fearless fashion editor Anna Wintour worked together with the city of New York to establish a massive retail driven night. It’s not about sales; it’s about the excitement of new amazing things and exciting events.

After four years we’ve certainly gotten into the swing of things and nearly every shop downtown has some sort of soiree planned for the night. If all that running around and ogling the freshly unpacked fall collections wasn’t enough to satiate your style appetite, stop by Director’s Park between 5 to 7pm to catch free fashion shows every half hour.

Regardless where your jaunts take you, just be sure to make it out that night. You wouldn’t want to cross Anna.

Director Park – Catch the latest styles with fashion shows on the half-hour from 5-7 p.m. Plus, enjoy free treats, mini-makeovers from Sephora, pedicab rides and goodie bags with $150 purchase from participating stores. Enter our raffle to win a $1,500 downtown shopping spree with proceeds benefiting New Avenues for Youth.
