A sneak peak at Gurung's upcoming Target collection.

This week Target announced print loving Prabal Gurang will be the next designer collaborating with the chain for a February 20th release date. After the massive success of Target’s collaborations with Jason Wu and the Internet breaking Missoni incident, it’s inevitable that Gurang’s cool clothes will go fast.

In an interview with Target’s Bullseye blog, Gurang says that the nearly 80-piece collection (!) will feature “refined dresses and blazers to jewelry and sleek shoes in striking prints and palettes”, with prices ranging from $12.99 to $199.99. The Singapore born designer is perhaps best known for his celebrity clientele like Lady Gaga, Demi Moore, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, and Kate Middleton strutting in his pattern pretty high end clothing, but seems excited to participate in the designer collaborating rite of passage.

“Mixing “high” and “mass” fashion is the modern way of dressing; people don’t wear head-to-toe high-end designers anymore. These types of collaborations allow people to experience designer clothes at an affordable price, while still maintaining the look of luxury. So I worked side-by-side with Target to create the highest quality product at amazing prices. I think you’ll be impressed with the level of quality in the collection.”
