The First Lady's Fashion
It’s official. For the next four years, we will all be graced with a particularly stylish First Lady. In addition to being sassy enough to get into a push up competition on Ellen, fighting childhood obesity with her “Let’s Move” campaign, and being a mom and wife – the lady knows how to dress. For the President’s moving acceptance speech, Michelle opted to behave how we normal folk do and (gasp) wear an item from her closet instead of the racks. She’s worn the Michael Kors magenta silk chine pintucked dress a couple times over the last three years and we give it a thumbs up to have a FLOTUS wearing classic pieces multiple times instead of new threads for every event.
Her style leans towards classic American with her steady stream of sheath dresses, full skirts, cardigans, and pearls. But Mrs. Obama keeps it fresh by mixing in bright colors and patterns to give it her own little twist. Here’s a roundup of some daily looks we love (and hope to see again).
