Local line REIF premiers its S/S line Friday with an exclusive, live fashion installation. Featuring interactive fashion presentation along with special giveaways, shopping, and custom photo booth, designer Lindsey Reif wants guests to be up close and personal with her newest presentation.
"Geometry played a heavy role in this season's collection, and I took a lot of inspiration from the natural geometric lines found in urban settings," she says. "This particular collection is inspired by 90's minimalism, vintage Kate Moss and Calvin Klein editorial, but with an urban edge...I am so excited to showcase my point of view and to make my own statement as a designer in this upcoming solo show." General Admission tickets are $20, VIP are $40 and available here.

FADE TO LIGHT FASHION SHOW

Quickly becoming one of the city's most anticipated fashion shows, Fade to Light is back for its winter installment this Wednesday. The untraditional fashion show has featured everything from designer Sharon Blair hacking a foot of her hair off live on stage to Bryce Black's models busting out an entire choreagraphed number to Beyonce to creepy video installations. Producer Elizabeth Mollo says, "Fade to Light aims to not just be a fashion show, but to be an experience that leaves the viewer with a solid understanding of each designer and the collections being shown. Fade to Light is also about fostering creative talent in Portland and helping that talent succeed in the working world of the apparel industry."

Hands down, it's become one of our favorite local fashion events. Brady Lange Spring/Summer Launch Party

ROCKED AT THE NINES

On Sunday, March 2, Portland Bride & Groom and the NINES will host the third annual couture bridal event Rocked. In addition to over 100 vendors with everything from sweets to DJs, Portland Bride & Groom will collaborate with top designers to transform the NINES ballroom and Gallery into three different wedding vignettes. Themes to include: “Island Romance,” “Ethereal Spring,” and “Late Night Lounge.” 

As guests tour the sixth floor of the Nines, they will get a chance to see the top styles from local bridal shops in a unique and intimate fashion show. Designers in the show include: Cocoon Silk, Divine Designs, Emily Riggs, English Department, Eve in Eden Bridal, Holly Stalder, Joy's Uptown, Sophie Bridals, Sunjin Lee,  Twigs & Honey, URCHIN: re-design and  Xtabay.

Net proceeds from Rocked will benefit Wish Upon a Wedding in association with Brides for a Cause. Wish Upon a Wedding is the world’s first nonprofit wish-granting organization providing weddings and vow renewals for couples facing life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.
