For Sixth Year, Alley 33 Brings Runway Fashion to Hawthorne Boulevard

Image: Beth Olson
In what seems like the blink of an eye, Alley 33 returns for a sixth year to turn a little narrow path off SE Hawthorne Boulevard into a full-blown fashion blitz with bars, elevated runway, and a sexy crowd. It's a show I love equally for its fun, no-frills vibe, and its mission to promote ready-to-wear designers who keep their manufacturing local. Everything you see is for sale and easily attainable.
This year's headliner is Slabtown boutique Folly, where owner/designer Sarah Bibb sells her in-house line of flowy Stevie Nicks-style dresses alongside satin slips that deserve to be shown off. Other favorites include Make It Good’s simple line of printed womenswear, Lizz Basinger’s adorable dresses, and Piper Dalton’s hand-knit, super-soft loungewear. Plus: models done up all pretty by the Red Velvet Parlour, dance, drinks, and more on Sunday, July 17.
