Portland-based apparel brand Bridge & Burn just got bigger. The eight-year-old boutique has a new flagship store in the vacated Steven Alan spot in downtown shopping mall hallway funnel corridor Union Way. Located at 1029 SW Stark, across from the Ace Hotel and its tourists, the newly opened shop is about three blocks away from the previous flagship store and double in size. It offers the brand's staple line of Pacific Northwest apparel, including wax-cotton outerwear and flannel shirting. Known as specialists in plaid, Bridge & Burn has been creating versatile pieces for men and women since 2010. Last fall, Bridge & Burn opened a new shop in downtown LA.
Union Way's retail alley passageway shaft arcade, tunneling between Southwest Stark and West Burnside, connects Portland’s West End to the Pearl District and houses other locally rooted brands, including boot company Danner and denim line Self Edge. Bridge & Burn says the new location will be a home for events, community engagement, and a hands-on design studio.
“Portland is on the map as a city that fosters independent and unique brands, and we’re proud to be part of this community,” says founder Erik Prowell in a press release. “I’m excited to join this energetic retail landscape. Drop in and say hi!”
