Portland Monthly style editor Eden Dawn and fashion icon (and Darcelle XV mainstay) Poison Waters appeared on AM Northwest on KATU this morning to talk about the best and worst celebrity looks from the 91st Academy Awards.

Dawn and Waters agreed on several picks: J-Lo's eye-popping sequins and Regina King's classy white dress impressed then both. Crazy Rich Asians costars Constance Wu and Gemma Chan also scored high marks. On the other end of the scale? Pharrell's shorts and Olivia Colman's big back bow.  

When asked about her process for judging Oscars fashion, Dawn detailed her rigorous process.

"I park in front of the TV, wine in hand, the second the red carpet starts and take notes throughout the night," she says. "Then I ask everyone at the party who they liked, ignore most of it, and go home and scroll through every look again to whittle down my list. There were so many other good looks this year, it was hard to get down to three."
