This just in: New Feast Portland dinners, brunches, speakers, and a gathering of the best local and national cookbook authors have been added to the lineup of blockbuster culinary events in September. Get your tickets here!

◊ Feast Portland Cookbook Social—Join your favorite cookbook authors, local and national, for this walk-around tasting and cookbook signing at the Heathman Hotel on Friday, September 20 from 2 to  4 pm. Twenty writers, including Karen Brooks (The Mighty Gastropolis, Ivy Manning (Crackers & Dips: More than 50 Handmade Snacks), Diane Morgan (Roots: The Definitive Compendium with More than 225 Recipes), Gabe Rucker (Le Pigeon: Cooking at the Dirty Bird), and Andrea Slonecker (Pretzel Making at Home) will be waiting to chat with guests at tables around the room and share snacks and bevarages from the Heathman's Michael Stanton. $5 suggested donation per person at the door, to be donated to Feast partner charities (Share Our Strength and Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon).

◊ Dinner Series with Grüner's Chris Israel and SPQR's Matthew Accarrino with King Estate Winery: Before working at culinary landmarks Per Se and Craft, chef Matthew Accarrino put in time at a village restaurant just outside of Rome, an experience which influences the menu at his newly Michelin-starred SPQR. On Thursday, September 19 at 7 pm, Acarrino will team up with Portland culinary trailblazer Chris Israel at his landmark restaurant Grüner for a meal fit for Caeser. $150 per person, tickets.

◊ Cielo Salon Brunch at famed bicycle manufacturer Chris King: An unforgettable morning ride and meal on Sunday, September 22 at 9 am with bike-loving chefs Chris Cosentino, Chris DiMinno, Jason French, and Robert McSpadden. Riders will meet at Chris King in NW Portland for an easy or more intense course (or simply cheer on the riders) before sitting down to brunch at 1 pm featuring food and drink from Antica Terra, Stumptown Coffee, and Base Camp Brewing. Ride and brunch, $125 per person; Brunch only, $75 per person; tickets.

◊ Speaker Series: Transparency and GMOs, The More You Know, the Better: This year alone, 25 states are considering bills requiring mandatory labeling of genetically engineered organisms. Join a panel of business and non-profit leaders, including Errol Schweizer from Whole Foods Market, Arran Stephens from Nature’s Path, and Robyn O’Brien from AllergyKids Foundation, as they explore new laws on Genetically Modified Foods and why they matter. $10 per person, at the Portland Art Museum, tickets. 

◊ New tasting panel participants: David Paige of Adelsheim Vineyard and Scott Paul Wright of Scott Paul Wines join Master Sommelier Andrea Immer Robinson and Wine Expert Bruce Schoenfeld on the Clash of the Pinots: Oregon vs. The World panel on Friday, September 20th at 11 am. Scott Frank of Bow & Arrow and Barnaby Tuttle of Teutonic Wine Company lend their expertise to the Best Northwest Wines You Aren’t Drinking panel on Friday, September 20th at 2:30 pm.
