Planned Parenthood reports providing more than 4.5 million people worldwide with sexual and reproductive health care and education each year. But in the last nine months, 12 states have defunded Planned Parenthood—and the women of Wildfang have had enough.
A self-declared “home for badass women,” Portland-based Wildfang has a history of explicitly feminist campaigns, from dressing celebrities in Wild Feminist tees to hosting storytelling events for Women’s History Month. Now, in honor of National Women’s Health Week (May 8–15), the tomboy boutique has created two videos that take a stand to support Planned Parenthood.

“We felt strongly about this issue and couldn’t just stand by and watch as state after state attacked women’s rights,” explains CEO Emma McIlroy. “Attacking Planned Parenthood attacks us all. Affordable healthcare is a basic human right and every woman should have the right to choose her future and control her own body.”
Their first video shows a dozen women stripping down—to be honest, we’re not 100 percent sure why they’re topless—and sending a message to the politicians from the 12 states that have since defunded Planned Parenthood. “Those politicians are putting people’s lives at risk,” says one woman in the video. “If I can’t be trusted to make a choice, then why would you trust me with a child?” Or, as another woman puts it: “Not your uterus, not your problem.”

A second video, Liar Liar, splices clips from speeches by Ted Cruz and Donald Trump into a farcical video that shows just how easy it is to digitally manipulate the truth. The project is a response to a series of undercover videos, released in July 2015, that were heavily edited to discredit Planned Parenthood.
Wildfang isn’t stopping at viral videos, however— the company donated 10 percent of all Wildfang.com purchases to Planned Parenthood during Women’s Health Week. Talk about putting your money where your mouth is!
