Mutual admiration brought Elsa and Tyler Lang from Flora Noble together with Claire Bandfield of Apotspot. After stalking one another on social media, they met and conspired for Design Week Portland, spreading their love of plants and art. “We spend so much time at our desks, on our phones, looking at screens. Plants are great for grounding. They bring calm and life into a space,” says Elsa Lang. The trio’s vision for Flora Exotica: Lang’s interior plant studio; Bandfield’s hand-cast stone planters; Cory Paul’s strange succulents (cacti and tropical); and 13 local artists producing one-of-a-kind pieces across a range of media.
