Rachel Ritchie

VP, Digital Content
From her perch in Portland, Rachel Ritchie oversees digital content strategy and new product development for all of SagaCity's magazines. That means she toils in a world of wireframes, apps, themes, blogs, and tweets—but her heart will forever live with the content. Formerly a Co-Editor in Chief at Portland Monthly, Rachel helped the magazine earn numerous City and Regional Magazine and Society of Professional Journalists awards, including General Excellence awards in 2011 and 2013, and two SPJ awards for Leisure and Lifestyle Reporting (“Best Restaurants,” “The 10 of 2013”). She has also written and edited pieces on everything from Oregon's most inspiring women to exploring the history and landscape of Mount St. Helens.
The Boston native arrived in Oregon armed with a liberal arts degree in English literature from Colby College in 2005, and joined the Portland Monthly staff in 2009, after two years at SagaCity’s now-folded, much-beloved Portland Spaces magazine.
