What are you most excited to be working on now?
Our work to advance palliative care for people with serious illness is especially meaningful to me. I’m blessed to lead the Cambia Health Foundation, which has invested more than $30 million to advance palliative care awareness, access and quality. Palliative care changes the way people experience health care by focusing on what matters to them instead of what’s the matter with them, improving quality of life for the patient and their family.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that Cambia is a good corporate citizen with strong community partners and that our employees volunteer time and donate more than $2.4M annually to 1,900 community organizations as well as Cambia’s commitment to ethics and compliance. Recently, the Ethisphere Institute recognized Cambia as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
Above all, I am proud of my two incredible daughters. Each diligently pursues her passion with integrity, curiosity and humor while respecting differences and treating people with love, kindness and respect. They are my greatest legacy, giving me hope for a brighter future.
What attributes contribute to your success?
Gratitude, optimism and perseverance. My parents convinced me that I could be anything I wanted if I was willing to work for it. I appreciate the bosses, mentors and teammates who have encouraged and challenged me to do more. I get up when I fall and continue trying to make health care better because I know we’re making a difference.

Cambia will continue innovating to find personalized health care solutions for people and their families. We remain committed to diversity and inclusion, empowering women through unique partnerships such as Celebrate Success, Woman Up! and the Cambia Portland Classic.
