Demimonde Goes Solo
East Burnside’s Haunt boutique is no longer a gang of three. After three years together, the trio of Rachael Donaldson, Laura Irwin and Holly Stalder have amicably moved on from their shared space to accommodate their individual growth.
Stalder will retain the Haunt name and store front and continue to expand in her bridal and special occasion pieces that are in high demand (while still carrying select pieces from Donaldson’s jewelry line and Irwin’s knitwear). Donaldson just set up shop on East Broadway with her first solo boutique by the name of Demimonde (also her jewelry line name).
The new shop carries the houseline as well as other local jewelry makers Sword + Fern, Julia Barbee and adorable gifts like handmade soaps, cards and even a small curated selection of vintage. It also adds to the growing expansion of this little plot of Broadway with additional new neighbor Sarah Seven opening up a showroom next door as well.
To celebrate the growing little hub, the shop owners at 2400 NE Broadway are throwing a little block party this weekend. Saturday and Sunday, October 14–15 celebrate with two days of refreshments and shopping discounts. Demimonde discounts the whole store by 10% in addition to serving Prosecco in the afternoons. Pop into neighboring shops Sarah Seven, Healing Waters & Sacred Spaces and Here We Go Again Resale afterwards to get a full tour of the (fingers crossed) future shopping destination space.
