One of my greatest fears of getting older has officially come true. 

With the revival of 90’s nostalgia popping up everywhere thanks to designers like Balmain, DSQ2, Top Shop Unique, and Dries Van Noten, I am now the person to utter the phrase, “I wore that the first time around.” As a matter of fact, the velvet Doc Martens sitting in the back of my closet that I wore to prom can now be dusted off and taken out around the block as the upper echelon of cool once again. 

For those of us who already did the grungy 90’s thing, you know how it’s done. For the newcomers here are some easy tips: layer your denim in different shades of blue, combine your pretty things with clunky things, and never forget a thermal layer.
