Don’t let the phrase DIY fool you. We’re far beyond making birdhouses from Popsicle sticks or potpourri sachets from Grandma’s old pantyhose. We are a city of makers, sellers, and manufactures. And more importantly, we’re a community who takes pride in that fact and wants to support our hometown crew. This week ushered in the launch of Portland Made, a site devoted to highlighting the folks in our town working towards making local manufacturing a status quo, not a specialty.
