Open Season Introduces a (Mag)Big World
Just two years ago, there was no Mag-Big collection. The fact that “The Little Boutique That Could” went from hatching a small in-house line to holding down the whole bill of night two at Open Season is nothing short of amazing. But precocious designer and Mag-Big owner Cassie Ridgeway did just that debuting a thirty-piece collection for the raucous* crowd last night
The Cursive Collection featured a wide array of dresses in addition to skirts, pants, and tops ready for summer. The line's easy breezy dresses, Ridgeway's focus of the last two years, continue to impress. The short mod tunics with big bell sleeves are an easy summer silhouette for many, while the last two showstoppers–a velvet and mesh combo–left sexy bits of skin for display. Ridgeway explained some of the pieces for were just added fun in the show, but approximately a third will be available in the shop in the coming weeks. You’ll have to hit the store in two weeks to find out what made the cut with size runs from small to plus—and peep the slide show above for the full collection.
