Local Knitwear Company Dehen 1920's First-Ever Sample Sale

The decades-old knitwear company, known for its classic sweaters and varsity jackets, hosts a rare warehouse sample sale.

This week, longtime Portland knitting institution Dehen opens the doors to its factory—full of beautiful vintage knitting machines—for a special sample sale. Paw through soft piles of Dehen's backstock of sweaters and varsity jackets, in addition to the discounted current collection.

Co-owner Brian Dehen promises a variety of product including: 

  • Salesman samples
  • One-of-a kind pieces
  • Discontinued styles
  • Prototypes
  • Older styles, older construction
  • Forgotten items
  • Some irregs/flawed goods
  • Promotional items
  • Decorated samples
  • Jackets priced as low as $20-$100 (typical price would $500+ today) 
  • Discounted odds and ends thrown in from the cheerleading division—some t-shirts, sweatshirts, warm-ups, and some cheerleading shoes 
  • Additionally, the shop will be discounting inventory from the current collection with offerings up to 30-40% off.
