Longtime local editorial hair wizard Lindsey Avenetti joined with partner Jasmin Ashley to found a new salon in the midst of Old Town. In addition to showing off the modern remodel to the old spot shoppers can scope out pretty pictures from the stylist’s past work, pick up gorgeous jewelry from AK Vintage, clink glasses, and toast the importance of finding the proper bang length.

Montavilla boutique Branch & Birdie closed it’s doors this month so owner Anna Margaret could focus on lush textiles and apparel from Thailand, Morocco, and other chic designers from all over the globe. Find shopping, sweets, drinks, and a raffle at the opening festivities.

Portland’s design community comes together for a shared play date. Makers ranging from casual to the risqué will all be on hand Saturday for a day of one-stop shopping with apparel, house wares, art, vintage, skincare and jewelry. Nibble on snacks and drinks while you scope out the latest from the local scene.
