23 Hoyt Adds Weekend Brunch

Northwest Portland becomes less a breakfast wasteland

Get cozy with eggs over easy

While it’s true that those of us who live on the western shore of the Willamette River have far less brunch options per capita than those who wake up in charming east side hoods like Alberta, Mississippi, and Burnside, this is changing slowly. Announced just minutes ago, 23 Hoyt (23hoyt.com) will debut a brunch service this Memorial Day weekend. On Friday through Sunday from 10am to 3pm, the restaurant will serve up eggs over easy with bacon ($10), huevos rancheros slathered in jack cheese and pico de gallo ($12), biscuits and gravy ($8), a BLT sandwich capped with an over easy egg ($12), and more.

Update: the street construction that has crippled NW 23rd Avenue for the past six months is now complete. The appropriately named restaurant is located on the corner of 23rd Avenue and Hoyt Street in Northwest Portland.
