Dine in the Dog House

It's said that you can't please all the people all the time, but recently-relocated food cart Dog House PDX is certainly trying. Offering 1/3 pound grass-fed beef burgers, housemade vegan and soy-free patties, gluten-free buns (a sign says they're celiac friendly), hand ground chicken patties, and Paleo-friendly burger salads in addition to hangover-friendly loaded tater tots, there really is something at this big red truck for everyone.
Previous incarnations of Timber Adamson's Dog House made waves in Northeast Alberta and Southeast Woodstock, but the truck is now sitting pretty at the Good Food Here pod on SE Belmont, with a new menu and plenty of have-it-your-way options. Gone are the spot's original focus—hot dogs piled high with all the fixin's—but in their place comes more tot options and huge burgers that are sure to gain a following.
Meaty menu standouts include the Brunch Burger with topped with bacon, grilled onions, cheddar, avocado, and garlic aioli topped with a fried egg, the Seoul Searching Burger with kimchi, bacon, grilled onions, and cheddar, and the Rip City Romance, with grilled onions, house-pickled jalapeño pepperjack, and house "kicker sauce" for extra spice (that's habanero aioli spiked with ketchup, for the uninitiated). Every sandwich comes with the option of über-savory grass-fed beef, veggie, or chicken patties, gluten-free buns are available for $1 more, and any burger can be turned into a Paleo-friendly salad for free.
The tots have also been pumped up at the new location, with loaded bowls of freshly-fried taters tossed with toppings like bacon, grilled pineapple, jalapeño and pepperjack (the Naughty in Nogales) or chanterelle salt, truffle oil, asiago, and roasted garlic truffle sauce (the Truffle Treasure). Everything ordered "for here" is served in a dog bowl (sorry for the lack of dog dish in the photo above, I was taking everything to go to get home in time for the second presidential debate! #politicalexcuses).
The only thing that's not user-friendly? The name. Each move has tacked on a new moniker to the venture, so you'll hear it called Timber's, Timber's DogHouse, the Dog House, or DogHouse PDX, but no matter what it's called, it's certainly worth a try.
