Portal Tea Company - Established 2003
Twenty years later, owners Angela and Dominic Valdes have grown the company to have over 130+ unique teas (80+ original recipes including chai blends), four tea shops in Portland (and Eugene), been voted Best Tea Company years in succession, and have a whole new line of tea products for both retail and wholesale customers.
Opened in 2011, the Sellwood Caboose tea shop has been a favorite of locals and tourists.
To mark 20 years of success, they decided to rebrand this year, to Portal Tea Company, a name that really personifies the experiences customers have both in the shops and their mugs. With inventive tea flavors like caffeine-free Coconut Chai, a customer favorite, Portal Tea now creates easy-to-make chai concentrates with their signature tea blends that are available to enjoy in local coffee shops (and for purchase online or in Portal Tea shops).
Portal Tea original chai blends are served in handcrafted mugs by local potter Jon King.
With more exciting new tea products on the way, such as Nitro Teas and Sparkling Teas in 12 oz RTD cans, Portal Tea continues to bring others great-tasting tea adventures.
