SE Division: Remember back in 2011 when we reported that Andy Ricker was writing a Pok Pok cookbook? Here's an update: according to the Ten Speed Press Fall 2013 cookbook catalogue, Ricker's Thai tome will be on bookshelves October 29th. Get stoked. 3226 SE Division

NE Glisan: Former food cart Pie Spot—best known for their precious "pie hole" mini pies—has branched into a full brick-and-mortar bakery as a part of the micro-restaurant row The Ocean. NE MLK: Now that Ox's former barman Jamal Hassan is shaking things up at the new Tasty N Alder, Justin Diaz (of Kask and Dig A Pony) is stepping in to craft the offerings at Greg and Gabrielle Denton's wood-fired hot spot and neighboring Whey Bar. SW 12th: Lisa Clark's vegan and gluten-free brick-and-mortar bakery Petunias Pies & Pastries is set to debut in the West End the first weekend in March. The bakery will be open from 8 am to 11 pm, serving Clark's full line of sweets, new savory treats, ice cream, Stumptown espresso, Foxfire tea, Oregon-made gluten free beer, wine, and signature cocktails created by Ryan Magarian of Oven & Shaker. 610 SW 12th Ave

NW Everett: Cathy Whims' Oven & Shaker is now serving weekend brunch each Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 to 4 pm.
