Han Oak Reboots Its Summer Dinner Series
What:
After months as a brunch-only thrill, the sometimes Korean eatery and event space is doing dinner. A four-course prix fixe will include small-plate banchan, cold noodles (like somen with white kimchi and beef broth), ssam meals (either koji-marinated, salt-baked pork belly or ember-smoked hanger steak), and dessert. A few favorites, like the pork and chive dumplings, will remain a la cart.
When: Fridays and Saturdays in June. Check for dates in July.

6th Annual Sake Fest
What: More than 130 sake varieties, including Oregon’s own SakeOne and hyper-regional Japanese breweries (jizake) will be available to smaple, along with bites from local chefs and tips on sake pairings.

Aviary Hosts a Garden Party with Alter Ego Cider
What: The alt-Asian eatery teams up with Alter Ego Cider for a summer party of bubbly and bites to benefit the Portland Fruit Tree Project, a local nonprofit that harvests city-grown produce and distributes it to people in need. Alter Ego will sample three of their ciders alongside Chef Sarah Pliner’s appetizers, chicken skin salad to deviled tea eggs.
When: June 22, 6—8 p.m.

Pinolo Gelato Throws a One-Year Birthday Bash
What: SE Division Street’s Tuscan gelato spot is turning one. To celebrate, Pisa-native Sandro Paolini unveils a new line of summer flavors and an outdoor seating area. Plus, expect a cake-cutting ceremony and live accordion music.
When: June 24, 5–8 p.m.

La Moule x Stammtisch Collaboration Dinner
What: Two Belgian beer fanatics (La Moule’s Aaron Barnett and Stammtisch’s Graham Chaney) join forces for a six-course menu paired with funky Belgian beers, wet hop German beer, and rare German schnapps.
When: June 30, 6:30 p.m.
Where: La Moule, 2500 SE Clinton St.
